Should Creationism be taught in schools?

Why not? It makes no sense that schools should not be allowed to teach creationism along with evolution and whatever other ideas there are about how the earth came to be. It is hypocritical for schools to teach one belief and ban another. Both Evolution and creation are based on a persons belief system so they both should be taught as ideas.

  1. This issue will make a respectable and interesting position paper! I don't know why I didn't think of it!

  2. I have to agree with Johnny's comment. I have very different views of our school system, (Mostly with layoffs of English teachers). History and theory should be taught from all beliefs. I think it would make a child more well rounded and later when more mature they can have a solid education on which to chose.

  3. Your topic reminds me of an excellent Nova episode called "Judgement Day : Intelligent Design on Trial." Here is the link....really interesting and a good source to hear both sides of the issue. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/program.html
